Femployment is a job marketplace created to connect women job seekers with companies promoting diversity and inclusion.

  • Job Seekers:
    • Personal Information (PII): Name, email, phone number, address, resume, education history, work history, job preferences, profile pictures, and social media profiles (if linked).
    • Activity Data: Information about jobs you’ve viewed, applied for, saved, and other activity data on the platform.
    • Additional Information: Optional data shared in surveys, responses, job assessments, and uploaded images. If you upload images to the website, ensure location data (EXIF GPS) is not embedded, as visitors can extract location data from images.
  • Employers:
    • Company Information: Business name, contact details, job postings, billing information, and interactions with job seekers.
    • Billing Data: Payments for job postings and access to the resume database are securely handled by Stripe. We do not store any payment details on our servers.
  • Unregistered Users:
    • Public Information: We may collect publicly available information from third-party websites, such as employment history, education background, and skills to create composite profiles that are visible to employers.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected data for several purposes:

  • For Job Seekers:
    • To help you find jobs that align with your profile and preferences.
    • To share your resume with potential employers when you apply for jobs or opt into the resume database.
    • To send you job alerts, newsletters, or relevant career advice via email (which you can opt out of).
  • For Employers:
    • To allow you to post jobs, access the resume database, and interact with job seekers.
    • To handle your payments through Stripe for job posting and resume database access.
  • For Unregistered Users:
    • We create profiles using publicly available information, which can then be accessed by employers through our resume database.
  • For Visitors:
    • We collect information when you interact with the site, such as leaving comments. Your IP address and browser agent string are used to detect spam. An anonymized string from your email (hash) may be sent to Gravatar to check if you’re using their service. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of the comment.
  • Marketing and Analytics:
    • We use cookies, tracking pixels, and third-party analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel) to monitor website performance and offer tailored experiences, including targeted job ads.

4. Cookies

  • Comments: When you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies. These are stored for one year for your convenience.

    • Analytics and Marketing: We may use third-party services for analytics and targeted advertising but ensure that no sensitive data is shared.
  • Compliance and Legal Requests:
    • We may disclose personal data if required to comply with legal obligations or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Femployment or our users.

7. Payment Processing

Payments for services on Femployment, including job postings and access to the resume database, are processed through Stripe. All transactions are encrypted, and we do not store any payment details. There are no refunds for payments unless explicitly stated in our refund policy.

8. No Refund Policy

Employers agree that payments made for services, such as job postings or access to the resume database, are non-refundable. Make sure you review the service terms before making a purchase.

9. Data Retention

  • Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely for easy recognition of follow-up comments.
  • Registered Users: For registered users, we store personal information in your user profile. You may request modifications or deletion of your information at any time. However, we may retain anonymized data for research or analysis purposes.

10. Your Rights Over Data

You have rights to access, modify, or delete your personal data. If you have an account or have left comments on our platform, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold. You may also request that we delete any personal data, but some data must be retained for legal, administrative, or security purposes.
